This luxury tour gives you a chance to experience a diversity of landscapes from the harbour city of Cochin to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the highlands of the Western Ghats. A trip to Kerala is not complete without time to experience the backwaters, so we have allocated four days in this area (two at a resort and two on a houseboat). We have included a stay in a restored estate house set in a rubber plantation and also three days at the beautiful beach area of Mararikulam.

Day 1: Arrival Cochin :
Arrive at the historic harbour city of Cochin, on arrival meet to assistance drive to hotel for rest of the night.

Day 2: Cochin :
Full day local sightseeing. Including St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Synagogue, Jew town and the Chinese fishing nets. In the evening attend a Kathakali performance, arrive early to watch the performers apply their make up and costumes. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Cochin-Komarakom (By road, 3-4 hrs drive) :
Morning after breakfast drive to Komarakom,Ā check in Coconut Lagoon, one of the most special hotels in the backwaters. The rest of the day is free to relax or take part in local activities. Overnight Coconut Lagoon

Day 4: Komarakom :
After breakfast visit the surrounding area to bird watching. A range of activities are offered by the hotel including guided village walks, boat trips and bird watching to name but a few. Ayurveda treatments are also offered and resident naturalists offer nature walks. Overnight Coconut Lagoon

Day 5: Komarakom-Alleppey (Pallahturuti) (By road, 2-3 hrs drive) :
Morning drive to Pallahturti, Board your Houseboat which will moor along side the resort around lunchtime. Spend the rest day cruising the backwaters, relaxing, eating and being looked after by the attentive staff on board. Overnight deluxe air-conditioned houseboat.

Day 6: HB-Periyar (By road, 4-5 hrs drive):
Morning, after breakfast disembark from the houseboat and transfer by car to Periyar (Kumali) On arrivl check in hotel rest of the time visit Spice Garden and local market. Overnight at hotel

Day 7: Periyar :
Very early morning visit the Periyar lake witness the wild life as Elephant, Bison, and another wild life, later drive back to hotel for breakast, continue soft trek. Overnight hotel.

Day 8: Periyar-Munnar (By road, 4-5 hrs drive):
Morning drive to Munnar, through the paddy fields and rubber plantation, on arrival check in hotel, rest of the day visit local market.

Day 9: Munnar :
Full day leisure for explore the hill station, and tea plantation, Overnight hotel.

Day 10: Munnar-Cochin (By road, 4-5 hrs drive) :
Morning drive to Cochin on arrival check in hotel rest of the time visit local mark.

Day 11 Cochin Dep. :
Full day for relax, in time departure transfer to fly back home.
